You always want to have just enough INT to be able to wear magical armor. INT: Despite what I said earlier, INT does have a place on most STR based builds.

I don't know the exact initiative of every enemy in the early access, but I've heard it's anywhere from 12 to 14. Higher is always better, but if you have 20 and your enemies only have 15, you're putting too many points into WIT that could be better spent elsewhere. WIT increases your initiative which lets you act eariler in combat. The bonuses it gives are very useful, but at the same time, you don't want to over level it. This one comes down to personal preference. Keep in mind, you get a free memory slot every even level, but it doesn't actually show on your stats sheet. I like to have a lot of spells, so I tend to invest more points into MEM than others might. This is probably the hardest attribute to give advice on, because some people might prefer to have more damage on their spells than more spells equipped or vice versa. If you wish to increase the number of spells you can equip at any given time, you have to increase your memory slots.

At the start of the game, you have 2 innate spells, and whichever 3 spells you took in character creation.

Keep in mind, having a lot of armor of both types is better than having a lot of health. Surprisingly one of the less important stats in this game, although you should still invest a point here and there every few levels. It also gives you some bonus physical armor with every point.Ĭonstitution (CON): This is your health. If you really need to invest points somewhere else, and you skip it for a level, it's no big deal, but don't do it too often because STR is where the bulk of your damage comes from. STR: You want to take at least 1 point every level. I can go into more detail as to why splitting like that is bad if you want. It might sound fun at first, but you'll actually end up doing less and less damage as you gain levels, and it just makes the entire experience very unsatisfying. In pretty much every scenario, splitting between multiple primary attributes is not something I would recommend. Of the three primary attributes - Strength, Finesse, and Intelligence - you can either focus purely on STR, or you can split between STR and INT. There are two ways to build a death knight.
